As long as there’s a phone in your pocket, someone’s going to be wanting something from you. It’s ok to not want to take it anymore. Choose peace. Live like it’s the ‘90s and you left the sob at home on the table where it belongs 😅

Nature is going to do things on its own terms every time. One of the consequences of allowing sows to farrow on pasture and not in confinement with a farrowing crate is that babies will often get laid on.

We’re down to 11. There was another little one that struggled a bit when he was born and passed to.

It’s hard no matter how long you’ve been doing things to not have it bother you when one passes away.

We’ve had multiple requests for roaster pigs for Father’s Day and the 4th of July. Today was a great practice day to put some meat in our own freezer and to get a good idea on what our weights were looking like.

40 pounds live weight
20 pounds dressed

Today was a redemption on learning to scald and scrape. The results were beautiful.
