Hello Cakies!

This week I am sharing some an amazing student creation! @xquisite_delicacies is a fun, creative and intelligent cake artist in Lanham, MD.

She took the TBL Cake Basics + Decorating 101 as a birthday gift to self. We baked, laughed, ate (😂 the hunger was real), and create a beautiful birthday cake.

Fun Fact: I’ve been a #dreamer all my life. So naturally, I love making fun dreamy #childrencakes. This one was for my “7 year old self”…

@colour.mill colors + my amazing Swiss meringue buttercream are just a game changer. For a long time I used gel and they were too streaky or not intense enough. With oil based colors though, it’s a match made in heaven!

Merry Christmas Eve Everyone ! While Santa is making his way from the North Pole we wanted to share another one of our #BarLuxBabies who isn’t a baby anymore but will always be a baby to us ! Meet Vivienne. Vivienne is the daughter to the best photographer ever @judahavenue aka Nafa.

Vivienne loves to read, create, and edit pictures with Mommy. Remember, the children are the future and with the right guidance they can be everything they want to be.

Meet Sandra who was one of our favorite Baby Shower Cakes. Check out the cake we did for Sandra’s Baby Shower. When we asked Sandra to describe motherhood she simply said “I have never known a love this intense”. Well stated Mama !

Happy Friday Cake Lovers. We have made it to the end of another week (but for bakers what does that mean since most of our work is done on the weekend) !

At #TheBarLux I have found that clients are amazed at how close I pay attention to every detail. Quality control is important to me. If I mess something up I am fixing it. Even if it means starting over 😩
