Alpine Apiaries

Alpine Apiaries From the "Alps of Texas" natural beekeepers harvesting local honey and swarms. Isolated apiaries to provide and protect our bees from pesticides.

The region of Big Bend in the Chihuahuan Desert has had an amazing wildflower season in the spring of 2015. Bees and swarms of bees accompanied this natural phenomena. Markus Ottmers and Darrell Sutton of Brewster County partnered up and started their Alpine Apiary with healthy beautiful swarms from this wildflower season. In addition to swarm removal, Markus and Darrell have started doing hive re

movals preserving as much of the original hive and honey as possible in the process. The bee yards are all isolated and miles away from pesticide use. Alpine Apiaries adheres to the most recent information and practices promulgated by the College of the Melissae, the Center for Sacred Beekeeping in Ashland, Oregon.
