A little honesty…
Last week I thought about selling off all my farm animals. They are so much work! If it’s not one thing it’s another it seems. I thought to myself, there’s so many things I could do with my free time! So much money I could save! So much less bickering with the farm hand about new projects 😂 (I’m not very handy)!
Then today, the rush of adrenaline I felt when I came out for night checks and found 13 piglets was just something you never get over! Panic, excitement, adorable little piglets! A feeling I know I was meant to experience! I instantly care about all of them!
I asked my son on the last day of school what he wanted to be when he got older, what he wanted his job to be. He’s going to be a kindergartner next year and he said “I want to protect all the animas”. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we just have this built in feeling of caring for animals! It makes us happy.
My great grandmother was a farmer, she loved animals! I am a certified vet tech who loves animals. My son wants to protect all the animals when he grows up. This is my why! This is my purpose! We protect, we appreciate and we pass on taking care of the animals that take care of us!
So welcome with me, our newest additions to the farm!
The days are long and hard but they are so rewarding and fruitful!
Thanks for reading my diary today, God bless and may you also be fruitful!
