Kittens are home, fed and resting.

They need secured for 48 hours before they can be released so they don't rip their sutures. Then they can join our little colony. Welcome CeCe, Tabby and Trixie.

Today we are getting three female kittens spayed with the TNR program. First pic is from when I first brought the younger two home and then other pics are when we moved them to the bigger kennel. And last two pics are us loaded up to drive to Camp Hill.

Two of them were found on someone's porch on main Street in town mere yards from the busy main road with no momma in sight at 5 weeks old. We bottle fed and kept them in a safe kennel outdoors with another kitten that had been found along the road about a week prior. And acclimated them to kitten food. The other kitten was found presumably dropped off in a rural area and she was already about 7-8 weeks old.

So all kittens are now 10 weeks or more and have been acclimated to the outdoors/our property in a safe area. Time to get them TNR so they can free range on our property with our other cats. We provide all the food and shelter they need and they pay rent by being cute and taking care of any pesky rodents.

All of our cats that we have taken in over the years are spayed or neutered as soon as possible to avoid the risk of them becoming pregnant/multiplying. If anyone wants to donate to help cover the cost it would be much appreciated as I don't go back to work full-time until School Starts. But these little munchkins have waited long enough cooped up in a kennel and getting an appointment with this program can take months in advance at times so Im not rescheduling them. If you want to donate a few bucks anything helps.

Our page is apparently back online. It's giving me a notification 8 days later. Hopefully there's no more issues. Apparently someone or something thought we had stolen content. Not sure how. But anyways. Stay tuned for updates around the flock.

I like being able to check on the Fluffy Butt Hut whenever I want. It's fun watching the little happy fluff balls buzz around their brooder and to listen to the happy little peeps. 🐥🐣

There are more hatching this weekend as well. 👍🏻😁

The brown leghorns come from white eggs and the Wellsummers come out of brown speckled eggs. This little one is the first Wellsummer of the year for us. 🐣🎂🥳

Both types of chicks have what I call the Chipmunk pattern and in my opinion are hard to tell apart until they get older so I'll be keeping them in separate brooders or putting little tags on their ankles to make sure I can tell the difference. 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥

Cleaning out the fluffy butt hut to make room for brooders. Would someone want this bird cage?

$150 takes it. Otherwise I'll just probably keep just storing it somewhere because it's worth more.
