Today you can find one of our garden favorite tomato varieties: Pink Brandywine

A beloved heirloom variety known for its large, rosy-pink fruits and rich, old-fashioned tomato flavor. Pink Brandywine produces juicy beefsteak tomatoes that are perfect for slicing sandwiches, and fresh summer meals. This variety is an indeterminate variety which means it will continue producing throughout the season with proper care.

You can also find our tomatillo garden starts! This is a staple on our farm making our most favorite SALSA VERDE!

These vigorous plants produce bright green fruits wrapped in papery husks and are a staple ingredient in homemade salsa verde and sauces. For best production, plant at-least two plants near each other to ensure pollination.

You guys almost completely cleaned us out the past two days — and we are so incredibly thankful for all the support during our ONE YEAR anniversary weekend at the Farm Barn! 🌻

Because of all of you, we’ve decided to extend our anniversary celebration and stay OPEN tomorrow for Memorial Day!

Growing a garden isn’t easy. It takes early mornings, late nights, sore backs, failed plants, constant watering, weeding, and a whole lot of patience. There are days when it feels easier to just buy everything from the store.

But then you watch a tiny seed turn into food for your family and community… and suddenly it’s all worth it.

There’s something special about knowing where your food comes from, what went into growing it, and who grew it. Local food connects people. It brings neighbors together, supports families, teaches kids where food really comes from, and reminds us to slow down and appreciate the simple things.

Every tomato, loaf of sourdough, fresh egg, and basket of produce represents time, care, and love.

We may not be a huge farm, but we believe small, local food matters. 💛

Could not have done it without some of our amazing friends! This year we did two big planting days instead of our usual one due to the weird Modoc weather but that’s ok because that means twice the planting, twice the fun, twice the laughs and twice the good food!
