Sure love breed and owned calves that you can pull into barn off momma and have a halter on 5 minutes later and within 15 have the kiddos loving on them! Never handled before and this calm - I call that a WIN everyday!

People always see the banners, the backdrop photos, the smiles in the ring. But what they don’t always see is why we show cattle.

We show for the early mornings.
We show for the responsibility.
We show for the grit it builds when things don’t go your way.
We show for the humbling moments that bring you to your knees — sometimes from laughing so hard, sometimes from fighting back tears.

The show ring has a way of teaching lessons you can’t learn anywhere else. It builds confidence. It builds work ethic. It builds character.

Today was one of those days that reminds me exactly why we do this.

Stetson had a FABULOUS day and absolutely put it all out there. I couldn’t be more proud of the effort and heart he showed and man the energy!!

Henleigh stepped in with a new girl and kicked butt showing her for the very first time! That kind of courage and determination doesn’t just happen — it’s earned.

Sometimes it’s not about the placings - even when they are good.
Sometimes it’s not about the ribbons - even whe they are banners.

Sometimes it’s just about the kids.
And today? Today was about them. ❤️🐮

When you are raising kids in the barn you’re doing something right! As parents we sometimes feel we fail daily however capturing scenes like this after school hanging out at the barn bring reassurance to our blessed life! Kids and cattle - oh and better add in the dog - can’t get much better than this. (No filter, just pure raw random pics captured when they weren’t looking!)

The walk to show ring is always special and since I’m always behind the camera I never get to see the other aspect until Congress! Im sure i was getting coaching but thats what the walk is all about - prepping!
