Ever wonder why homemade sourdough can look a little different from loaf to loaf?

That’s part of the fun!

Sourdough is a living process. Temperature, fermentation time, flour, hydration, and even the weather can all affect how a loaf develops.

Here at Rustic Turquoise Sourdough, I use locally grown and freshly milled flour from Grandview Granary in Groom, Texas. It’s unbleached, non-bromated, and less processed, which gives my bread that naturally rustic look and flavor.

It may not always look like the perfectly identical loaves you find at the grocery store…

And honestly? That’s exactly how I like it. 🤎

Real ingredients. Real fermentation. Real bread.

I bake based on the orders that come through, so once orders close at 12 PM, I’ll be planning the week’s bake. If you don’t order ahead, there may not be extras available!

If you’re planning on getting sourdough for **next Thursday’s pickup, your order needs to be placed by Monday at NOON!!!!!**

After that deadline, I’m closing the order list and getting to work on the dough! 🍞

That means **no order = no extra loaf waiting for you at pickup.**

I know it’s easy to think, *“I’ll order tomorrow.”*
Then tomorrow turns into Monday morning… and suddenly the deadline is here. 😅

So take a minute today and get your favorites ordered!!!
