We would like to sincerely thank the Lake Waynoka Board for giving us the opportunity to establish the Lake Waynoka Farmers Market.

Your support of this community event means so much to us, as well as to the local farmers, bakers, artisans, crafters, and small business owners who will now have a place to share their products and talents with our community. By approving this market, you are helping bring neighbors together, support local businesses, and create a welcoming space where residents can shop local and connect with one another.

We are excited to watch this market grow into something that benefits the entire community. Our goal is to create a positive, family-friendly atmosphere that encourages community involvement while showcasing the many talented individuals and businesses within and around Lake Waynoka.

Want to see what we've been up to?

This week has been a busy one around here 👏

🌱 Planted more crops
🌱 Started the next round of succession planting
🌱 Continued hardening off plants for life outside
🌱 Got even more plants in the ground
🌱 Worked on adding new items to the lineup

And somehow, we're already planning the next round of planting 😅

This time of year is a constant cycle of planting, growing, harvesting, and preparing for what's next.

We're tired, a little dirty, and probably running on too much sweet tea... 😬😉

Now, to finish some zucchini bread for the farmstand this weekend! Cookies in the morning! We are working on new items to add to the farmstand and markets each week so stay tuned!

Today's the day 🗓

The farmstand is officially open!

Now, she's not quite finished yet — we've still got a few final touches to add — but she's ready to start doing what she was built for 👏

This week's lineup includes:

🍪 Chocolate Chip Cookies
🍪 Snickerdoodle Cookies
🍓 Homemade Strawberry Jam
🫛 Freshly Picked Snap Peas

And the best part? We'll be adding more each week as the season gets rolling.

This little farmstand has been a lot of work, a lot of planning, and a lot of dreaming. It's exciting to finally open it up and share it with all of you.

This week feels like a big one...

📍 Union Township Farmers Market — Tomorrow, 4-7pm
📍 Farmstand Opening — This Weekend, 9am until 6pm
Plus, we'll be participating in the Eastside Trail throughout the month of June!

We've been working toward this for months, and it's exciting to finally be here.

Funny how fast things change this time of year 🌿

One minute you're staring at trays wondering if anything is ever going to grow...
The next you're planting tomatoes, hardening off plants, wrapping up our strawberry season, and getting ready for market season.

It's a good reminder to slow down and enjoy it while it lasts 👏

🌿 Fun Fact Friday 🌿

Plants can actually get sunburned 👀🌱

That’s why plants started indoors usually go through a “hardening off” process before being planted outside.

A little more sun and outdoor time each day helps them slowly adjust to direct sunlight, wind, cooler nights, and changing temperatures before going into the ground 👏

Without it, plants can get stressed pretty quickly from the sudden change and die. All that hard work, growing from seed, is gone.

Kind of like plant bootcamp 😅

Every board, every screw, every late night… bringing the Queen City Harvest farmstand to life one piece at a time.

It’s still a work in progress, but seeing this vision finally take shape feels unreal 🤍

Soon this trailer will be filled with:
🥕 fresh, home-grown vegetables
🌻 flower bouquets
🍞 homemade baked goods
…and a whole lot of heart.

We cannot WAIT to open these windows for y’all soon. 🫶
