Golden Crispy Chicken with Parmesan Mushroom Sauce 🍄
Ingredients:
For the Crispy Chicken:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
¾ cup breadcrumbs (or panko for extra crispiness)
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
For the Parmesan Mushroom Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Directions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Chicken:
Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
In one shallow bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
In another bowl, whisk egg and milk.
In a third bowl, mix breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
2️⃣ Cook the Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce:
In the same pan, melt butter and sauté mushrooms for 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring well.
Add Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
4️⃣ Assemble & Serve:
Place crispy chicken on a plate and pour the Parmesan mushroom sauce over the top.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm. Enjoy! 😋
