I can't buy tomatoes from the grocery store anymore. 🍅✋😳
The only tomatoes I can stand, are the ones grown right here in possum holler. 🍅❤️
Not only are they thicker, juicer, more meaty, and more flavorful, but they're grown without pesticides or unnatural chemicals. Just dark, rich West Virginia soil, and love, just like your Mawmaw grew in her garden. Sorry y'all, but the first batch are for me and my family. Farmer gets first dibs. 😁
These delicious succulent tomatoes are going on some bacon and tomato sandwiches.

We have a wonderful crew helping out on the farm! These little ladies are buzzing all around and visiting the entire garden, but it seems the corn is the favorite. And who can blame them?

We have a good amount of green beans, tomatoes, and squash that are ALMOST ready!

I tell you what,
We have been busy! Too busy to post! Planting corn, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cucumber, and more! We might have had a late start, but we're doing our darndest to catch up! Here's a picture of one of our teeny 🤏 tiny tomatoes! 🍅
Here's also a picture of our dinner cooking! 🔥
If you're not familiar, we're having foil packs for supper tonight. Steak, potatoes, onions, a dash of seasoning, and butter all wrapped up in foil, and placed in the heart ❤️ of a fire. All those flavors get to know eachother, 🤝 and make something awful good to eat. 😋
I hope before long we're able to take something delicious and bring it right to you! It's a beautiful evening to be in Possum Holler!

Its a beautiful day in Amma, WV!

Between farming and the baby, there just isn't enough time in the day. So we've installed a sprinkler system to ease the workload a bit!

The corn, cucumbers, and tomatoes are doing amazing, and we are still waiting on squash and zucchini to appear.

While we wait for corn🌽, tomatoes🍅, and cucumbers🥒, we have some other things really growing🌱

My favorite part of the farm is the berries. Gooseberries, blackberries, and blueberries all grow really well in our garden, and we just can't seem to stop adding more blueberries 🫐 And what a wonderful surprise it was to get these pictures today! What you don't see in these pics are four 25 foot rows of blackberries starting to flower 🌸. I'm hoping some of these berries make it to a sale or two in the near future! 🎉

Personally though, I'm ready for a good berry dump cake🍰 🤤

It might be small, but it is mighty. This is a mortgage lifter tomato plant. A big, beautiful, juicy pink tomato, and an heirloom variety. I love these things, and they do quite well in our garden. I sure do hope these help pay off MY mortgage!

In all seriousness, we've got a bunch of Roma, Mortgage Lifter, Cherokee Purple, Sun Gold, and Spoonful varieties started under the grow lights, along with our corn. Hopefully we'll have something to bring to market soon!
