Day 740 thoughts on the farm.

We weren’t sure how the day would go knowing that it was only going to be 45°. Rick and Matthew spent about five hours getting a tree stand assembled for us. It was one of those projects that was probably three hours long but the directions weren’t super clear so they had to reassemble several times.

Haley, Haisley and I took a little walk out to see them as they got started on that project, but we spent most of the day inside.

I don’t think it got over 45° today, but the sun was out and it was absolutely beautiful.

Earlier this morning as I was washing dishes, I happened to be looking out the window and saw a bald eagle flying over the property. There’s something absolutely spectacular about seeing an eagle fly. As I watched it, I saw another one come into sight, but they were so high up it was hard to see clearly. Amazing at any rate!

It was a quiet day. Lots of clouds and rain throughout the day with a little bit of blue sky in between. Even on a dark dreary day, the colorful trees are hanging on to make it look beautiful.

Day 738 thoughts on the farm.

It was much cooler today than it has been this week.

When I pulled in the driveway from work this evening I noticed there are less and less leaves on the trees. It’s still pretty, so we will hold onto that, but definitely less leaves.

It was a quiet day for the horses.

Day 737 thoughts on the farm.

It’s been nice weather all week. Today was another mild day.

Rick got home and was able to get more pasture maintenance done. He went out to the far pasture to get it all cut down. I think we are coming to a close on having to mow anymore for this year. 👏

We had a couple pretty sunsets the past few days. I missed them both, but Rick was able to get a picture today. It is very beautiful.

It was a mild fall day. It was dark when I left for work and dark when I got home. The sky was full of stars both in the morning and and night.

Pictures don’t do justice for how pretty the sky is but that’s all I took today.

Day 735 thoughts on the farm.

It was a mild sunny day after a rainy start. Rick was home today and got a lot of work done around the farm.

When I got home from work, I decided I would get the grass cut since we didn’t get to it over the weekend. It was a beautiful evening to ride around in the yard. The trees are so beautiful and the weather was perfect.

Day 734 thoughts on the farm.

This weekend did not go according to plan, but it was nice to wake up with Haisley here this morning.

We had fun with her until midday when she went back home.

It was a cloudy day with rain off and on. The horses head a good day despite the weather.

Rick was going to get a ride in this afternoon, but decided to hold off because all the horses were wet.

Instead, we had a restful afternoon.

Day 733 thoughts on the farm.

It started off really chilly this morning, but it was a beautiful day and got warmer as the day went on.

We had a team here this morning to help us get some barn cleaning and organizing done. With their help we were able to get a lot of things cleaned up before receiving the rest of our round bales.

Moving the round bales into the arena took half the time with help that it would have otherwise. We are feeling much more prepared for this winter!

After a very productive day were asked if we wanted to go pick up Haisley for an overnight at the farm. That was a great way to end the day!

Day 732 thoughts on the farm.

It was another star packed morning! It’s the upside of being dark so early! ✨

It turned into a beautiful fall day. The colors are still bright and so pretty on sunny days.

We had a lot of hay delivered today, and have more coming tomorrow. I think Rick will be moving round bales for a long time this weekend!

Day 731 thoughts on the farm.

The sky was chock full of stars early this morning. It was very beautiful! 🤩

The temperatures are cooling off a little, but the sun is still shining bright. It has been very pretty outside all week.

Clyde and Leah got some work done today, but other than that it was a pretty quiet day.
