It was another beautiful June day! It was pretty when I left this morning and just as pretty when I got home from work.

Rick and Scarlett had a good ride today. When I went out to see them, Scarlett was rolling in the dirt, which is always a sign of. She had a good run, lol.

This morning was absolutely beautiful waking up to the moon setting over the hills.

It was a beautiful sunny day and mild. June is proving itself to be excellent so far!

Rick and Scarlet had some ride time after work this evening, and I put myself back to work in the garden, pulling more weeds.

It was another peaceful evening.

It was a beautiful sunny day today. The low point of the day was bringing Ellie back home. She was a joy to have for the weekend.

Rick hooked the brush hog up to get one of the far pastures mowed for the first time of the season. While he did that I tackled the weeding out front again. It’s finally starting to take some sort of shape.

Day 600 thoughts in the farm.

Today was Haisley’s first visit to the farm! Ellie was very excited to meet her cousin, and we were beyond thrilled to have both grandchildren over at the same time. 🥰

Later in the day our friend came over to ride Latte. After a good ride, Latte was nice and relaxed for Ellie to get her first ride since last year.

I can’t think of a better was to have spent our 600th day!

Day 599 thoughts on the farm.

Nik brought Ellie to the farm today and we will have Ellie all weekend! 🎉

We did some playing inside and outside and made a couple trips into the barn to see the minis. I tried to get her to do some weeding with me, but it must be genetic- she didn’t really care for that activity either lol. 🤷‍♀️

It’s always fun to see things through Ellie‘s eyes, especially with so many things to look at around here right now.

It was a beautiful sunny day here today. The horses are enjoying mild temperatures and dry ground for a change.

Looking outside, I would say all the trees are now finally in full bloom. The mornings have been so pretty with a clear sky and bright moon, and fluffy fog laying low in the trees. Late May - early June is definitely my favorite time of the year.

Day 597 thoughts on the farm.

Rick was home early enough to greet Mike, our ferrier to get the horses feet done this evening. By the time I got home, everything had been wrapped up and all the horses were looking spiffy!

I’m told that Clyde did pretty well for his first time getting his feet done with us. Little by little he keeps settling his nerves for things like this. 👏👏

Latte was able to get some ride time again tonight, which was good for her.

It was a beautiful evening and very peaceful.

Rick had a chunk of time home today to get a lot of the weeding done on the fence line. When I got home from work, I could see all that he had done, and what a huge difference is it makes!

It was a beautiful day. When I got home from work, the day was over, but the sky was very pretty and the horses were all hanging out by the water taking it easy.

Date 595 thoughts on the farm.

Today is memorial day, so we are remembering those who served our country and paid the price of their life for our freedom. ❤️🤍💙

It wouldn’t be memorial day without small town parades. We went up to Belfast this morning to pull a float in the parade. During the parade, the weather decided to change from drizzly to sunny and pretty! ☀️

I received a text today from one of our helpers who offered to come help me pull weeds in exchange for some riding time! I was like “yes girl, yes! “, But we had to finish parading around before we could start hosing around. 🤷‍♀️

I was thrilled to have some help and company getting back at the garden today! Working 45 minutes together, we accomplished what would have taken me a few hours.

It was so nice to end this weekend with such beautiful weather! It was also satisfying to see Latte have some good ride time.

It was a great ending to a holiday weekend.
