C'Mon Betty founding principle is to fight food waste, as almost 40% of food grown in the United States is uneaten. C'Mon Betty is an artisanal canning company that makes and sells unique and delicious shelf-stable condiments from locally sourced ingredients.

"Each jar contributes to our mission of using fresh surplus produce, supporting local farmers, enhancing the local circular economy, and offering tasty accompaniments for any occasion. The fresh produce used to make our products are sourced from local farmers who have overstock or "ugly" fruit that would otherwise go unsold. We also champion underutilized parts of the fruits and vegetables that are perfectly edible but aren't as popular and often get discarded and we partner with local grocery stores and food businesses to upcycle off-cuts such as watermelon rinds."

Thank you to Startup Zoo! I am still processing this astoundingly impactful win, and cannot express my gratitude enough. So thankful for my support network who listened to me practice and helped me fix my slide deck last minute. This is the first time I have taken home top prize at a pitch competition and I am so excited that C'Mon Betty is resonating with folks.

C'Mon Betty is headed to Kalamazoo on Monday, September 21. Looking forward to pitching the business to a new audience.
