The only thing missing is some fresh shaved parm on top!

Pork cutlets with arugula salad. It feels like a restaurant dish without being too heavy. These cutlets are also great with pasta, Mac salad, potatoes and roasted veg, you name it!

I use the same process when I make chicken cutlets too. This is a great item to batch prep and freeze after the dredging. Putting parchment in between makes it super easy to grab what you need for dinner and keep it moving!

Henry was my sixth pregnancy.

Two IUIs. Three egg retrievals. Five frozen embryo transfers. 3.5 years of waiting rooms, injections, phone calls I dreaded answering, and a grief that’s hard to put into words.

Recurrent pregnancy loss had been the piece of the puzzle no one had solved yet — and an intensive immunosuppression protocol is ultimately what allowed my body to do what I had always hoped it could.

Henry’s pregnancy wasn’t easy, I was on blood thinners and bled often during my first trimester. I developed gestational diabetes and then preeclampsia.

I delivered at 30 weeks and then came Henry’s NICU stay and then caring for a 3 pound preemie at home with nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech.

But you wouldn’t know it now. Henry has met and exceeded any expectation we could have for him. Having a ā€œtypicalā€ kid is something that we will never take for granted.

Now it’s is a random Monday.. Henry holding a friend’s hand. Yelling ā€˜Mommy I love you!’ like it’s the easiest thing in the world.

This boy — this sweet, loud, tenderhearted boy — was worth every single second of all of it. 🄹

If you are on a TTC journey, navigating infertility treatments or experiencing loss, please know that you’re not alone and I’m here if you ever want to talk. šŸ¤

What’s your biggest obstacle with cooking at home??

For me it’s time, energy and Gemma ā€œletting meā€. She is such a Velcro kid and she loves my undivided attention and cuddles pretty much all the time..

I typically have more in mind for what I want to get done in the kitchen than is feasible. So I prioritize the items that I really needddddd to make.

Never enough hours in the day!

Maryland is the best place to raise kids and you can’t convince we otherwise!

I’m from California and I have such a draw to be near the water. Henry and Gemma definitely have the same love of water as their Momma.

Fear not! Mumba & Habi have arrived!

We are so lucky to have hands on grandparents that love these kiddos to the moon and back.

Semiannual reminder not to sleep on !

My favorite sandwich is the Brie-wich, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything is SO fresh and seasonal, the vibes are immaculate and the staff are lovely.

With Mumba and Habi coming back to MD this week, I think I’ll be back soon!

Can I cook an entire Thanksgiving spread from scratch? Absolutely.
Did I let my good friend help me out this year? Also absolutely. šŸ˜‚

No explanation needed… but here’s mine anyway: no family visiting, I worked the day before and the day after, and my kids ate mac & cheese, dinner rolls, a few bites of turkey, and ice cream. So yeah — ordering was the move.

What I loved:
• Turkey was flavorful and not dry šŸ™Œ
• Veggies came par-cooked so they didn’t turn to mush when reheated
• Mashed potatoes were super creamy
• Pumpkin cheesecake… 10/10, shockingly good

What I didn’t love:
• Stuffing was a little too wet for my taste
• Definitely could’ve used more mashed potatoes
• Didn’t see any reheating instructions

What I tweaked/added:
• Added a cup of chicken broth to the turkey tray to keep it juicy
• Stirred butter + heavy cream into the mash
• Lots of pepper + a little salt to the gravy
• Crispy onions on the green beans and mac for crunch
• Brushed the dinner rolls with garlic butter and warmed in the oven
• Made a small ham, crescent rolls, and cranberry sauce
• Grabbed vanilla ice cream + whipped cream for dessert

All in all? Great value, tasty meal, and (stuffing aside) I’d 100% order it again. šŸ’œ
