It’s amazing what a few days under 95 degrees will do.
I WILL be at the Lawton Farmers Market tomorrow from 8am-1pm. I’ll have bell peppers, cucumbers, yellow squash, beets, eggplants, and a few cabbage and cauliflower plants left over from transplanting.

I figured while the weather was still whooping up on us I’d get the new greenhouse built.

I’ve been gardening pretty intensively for 9 years and I’ve been working on a larger scale for about three. This seasons weather has been some of the worst I have ever seen in my life, let alone since I started really working with plants and paying attention. I think it has rained on my property two, MAYBE three times all year. It’ll rain a mile away, but not where I need it.
I’m really starting to think I live on cursed Native American burial grounds or something.
Either way I appreciate the support and everyone being patient while we suffer through such a brutal season.

We will be at the Lawton Farmers Market tomorrow morning from 8am-1pm.
Due to all the recent heat I will have 5 cucumbers, one tomato, two bunches of beets, three bags of Swiss chards, and 12 okras (pods not pounds). 😅😂

I’m being somewhat sarcastic. What I’m trying to say is I won’t have a ton of produce this weekend, but I am bringing what I’ve got as the garden is finally out of survival mode and shifting back into production for what I call our second spring.

It’s kind of crazy how great 95 degrees feels after a few weeks of 100+.. 🥲
The garden has barely survived and has ceased all production in order to do so. It’s looking like our second spring is starting though!

I will be taking the weekend off from the market, mostly because I don’t have much to bring. I should be back next weekend with at least a few things as the farm recovers and we get fall season plants in the ground.

This time of year is always a challenge, so thank you for your continued support!

I know I’ve been quiet over here the last few weeks. Between changes on the farm, insect infestations, family time, and the insane heat I have been pretty tied up.
We will however be at the Lawton farmers market this Saturday from 8am-1pm. Due to several weeks of 100+ degree weather, we won’t have a ton of produce, but we will have something and it just as good as always. 👨🏽‍🌾
