Oh my goodness 😍

These little frizzle bantam Cochins are so stinking cute! It’s so fun watching them grow!

I plan to offer some of these as grow outs eventually. I have to pick my favorites first 🤣 these are from a friend, so unrelated to my flock. My plan is to have at least 2-3 unrelated pens so that I’m able to offer pairs/trios with no worry of inbreeding.

What a rough start to hatching season..

I lost 4 bronze peafowl eggs + several Cochin eggs. One of my incubators decided that maintaining a consistent temperature was optional 😭 they had less than a week left.

Unfortunately these things can happen and it’s part of farming. I have 2 other incubators full of eggs, so praying for good hatch rates on those!

I thought she was ☠️ but Chicken has just been soaking up some rays on these hot days we’re having. You can tell she enjoys it! She’s our favorite girl.

I haven’t been very active on here this week 🫣

I don’t know if I’m overwhelmed because of this never ending building project, the amount of animals requiring my daily care, or the fact that I want to add more animals to the chaos 🤣 but this has definitely been the longest week of my life lol

14 Cochin chicks hatched. 3 bronze eggs have 10 days left. I put 3 more bronze in + 3 purples (fertility testing) I also added 8 more Cochin eggs. HELP 🆘
I’m almost out of room in the incubators *thankfully* I just can’t help myself 😅
