We had an oopsie today while hauling hay.
Was it annoying? Sure. Did it ruin the rest of the day? Kind of.
But then we got to thinking....
How blessed are we to actually have hay to haul? When so many around us have so little, or none.
How lucky are we that it didn't happen on the hard top and cause any accidents? It happened just a few hundred feet after turning off the road.

We are very pleased to announce that one of Grace's experiments has paid off and we now have the first of 1 of 3 (hopefully) types of comb honey up for grabs. Ross Rounds are $15 each and we have about 30 currently available.

When the heat index is 115°, we have to get an early start. There's nothing better than watching the sun rise over a great group of feeder calves.

First adult Spotted Lantern Fly we've seen in our area this year. I believe they may be a little earlier than last year. It was hanging out on a Paradise tree with some nymphs. Buckingham County VA.

Memorial Day weekend fence line weaning. Very grateful for the cooler weather and the rain to help keep the calves as stress free as possible during a stressful time.
