We'd love to introduce our newest member of Big Nasty Farms!!!!

This morning at 8:36am, Cruella, Megan's Holstein heifer, gave birth to an Angus/Holstein bull calf!!! He took a little bit to find his legs, but as soon as he was up, he was walking all over. He even went and said hello to Megan, much to her surprise. He has the quietest moo and the softest hair. He is eating and sleeping, just like a baby should!!

We have decided to name him Moose!!! We can't wait to watch him grow and explore the farm!!! We love him already!!!!

It's crazy how in just 3 months, Wilbur has grown from a little 3 pound piglet, into a 60+ pound piggie!!! He enjoys digging in the dirt (as if you can't tell by his snout), loves hard boiled eggs, knows his name when you call him, and loves to be loved on!! He's the spunkiest piggie and greets you with ankle bites and snout nudges!!! He's living his best life here at Big Nasty Farms!!! And we absolutely love the little guy!!!!

Growing again!!! 🦆🦃

About 2 weeks ago, we were given Waddles, a Rouen duck. She hangs out with the cows by the pond and if you quack at her, she'll quack back!!

Today, we got 8 Rouen ducklings, 6 female and 2 male. We're hoping that when they're old enough to go outside, Waddles will be a motherly figure to them.

We also got 6 Broad-Breasted Bronze Turkeys. They are fast-growing, with exceptional meat production, and reaching processing weight between 16-22 weeks.

Sally had her 2nd litter last night!!! We're not sure why she only had 4 babies (when she can have up to 23), but it could be because she had postpartum depression with her last litter. But these 4 babies (3 girls, 1 boy we think) are the wrinkliest, cutest babies!!! I hope Sally is happier this time around!!

He is a purebred Akaushi Waygu steer. Akaushi beef is known as the "Emperor's Breed". They are known for their distinct marbling, that gives them their melt-in-your-mouth texture, which gives it a rich, buttery flavor!!!! 🥩😋

More babies!!! 🐷🐷

When Justin went outside this morning at 7am, Leia had 10 babies!!! After a couple more hours, she had 5 more!!!! As my best friend said, "we're drowning in Meishans!!!" Between Leia and Pasta, we have 25 babies!! And we think Sally will be having babies soon too!! 🤯😵‍💫

But these babies are the absolute cutest...with their big ears, white feet, and all the wrinkles!!! 🥰

This is Wilbur (formally known as Susan), he's our Chester White piglet and he's currently living in my garage!! Yesterday was bath and pen cleaning day for Wilbur.🧼🛁 Now he looks good and smells better (and so does my garage)!! 😁

Wilbur is a spunky lil' piggie!! He loves to run around the grass and chase after the kids!! And he's found a love for chewing empty plastic water bottles. 🤦‍♀️

Now all we need is for the weather to stay warm🌡☀️ and Wilbur to learn to like "big boy" food (instead of just moving it around his plate 🙄), and he'll be able to move outside with all of the other big pigs!!! 🐷

Our sweet Chester White, Penelope, had babies last night!!! Unfortunately, with it being so cold, most didn't make it. But, we have these 2 sweethearts, Ducky (because his oink sounds like a quack) and Susan!!!! We're all taking shifts sitting with them to make sure they're doing alright and nursing enough.
