Are y'all ready? Ready for all this puppy spam? Kaan has less than 2 weeks before he will be home. Yes, it's going to be a long fun drive to and from Wisconsin. We honestly believe he is going to be so worth it.
Self sustainable living, hard work, Happiness and our piece of Heaven on Earth. How did we get here? We limit our chemical/ medication dependence.
With the ever changing scenes of what the media promotes is good for you and the growing big pharma issues- we have always been deemed as "tree huggers" and have tended to the natural as possible approach. Now more than ever, we feel that isn't only an option, as it is a necessity to eliminate processed foods, big pharma and GMOs from our lives as much as we possibly can. We are not organic- but strive to be as close to that as feasibly possible.

A brand new Shepard- his flock was delivered and he is over the moon about his new sheep, I think he is pretty excited about his new shirt too. π We expect to hear great things about Harry & Marv and will love to watch ALL of them grow.

Wheew, we have been busy! Go over and see what is new in the store!
I wish we could do something besides having all this FUN!
Strawberry (caffeinated) tea coming soon to the Etsy store, farm stand and website.
We have tried, tested and tasted. After MANY cups of this sweet, farm fresh strawberry tea. Yes, we picked those berries.
Made with green tea, strawberry tops and strawberries
Happy Mother's Day
From our farm to you.
LOOK at the red delicious beautiful berries!
Hurry down to Brown Farm's, UPick or they pick.
This is where ALL our berries come from to make our jams, (tea coming soon) I promise you won't be disappointed
Guess what's been going on around here????
Yep! Preparing for...... Goats in dresses + goat yoga = hilarity
Oh, we can hardly contain our excitement. My MIL, Denise has been working behind the scenes since she left from lambing season. Just look at all this cuteness. Stay tuned for more colors, dresses and of course
Are y'all ready? More puppy pics than you can stand...Kaan is coming home soon. The girls are gonna be so upset with me. They really don't like change.
Behind the scenes-
actually I'm in the closet. The sheep closet to be exact. We have collected fecals, placed ear tags, gave COWP, administered vaccines for the year, place more ear tags, checked FAMACHAs, checked momma's over, gave momma's yearly boosters, drew labs for OPP and Johnes, placed more ear tags.
Did I say we placed ear tags??? π π
A few pics of the girls and guys we wrestled all day- and who will soon be going to their new farms!
Let me know- if you want on next year's lamb list. We MAY have fall lambs- no promises. After these guys and gals are gone- we are SOLD OUT. Thank you to everyone who wants our genetics π
The boys have been separated and we are currently weaning. Soon, second set of vaccinations.
Labs have been received back from Kord on dams and sires. Every lab was Negative for OPP and Johnes.
Still need to draw genecheck (scrapie) on a few commercial girls.
I will be reaching out in the next few weeks to buyers to schedule pick ups of lambs.
As always- I will provide registration of parents (if they are registered), copies of labs, dates of vaccinations, fecals and any other treatments- such as COWP boluses, plus a bill of sale for your CPA.
That's what we call service. In addition you get our breeder support.
The landscape team is hard at work today. Taking a break from fencing to let the team do some work for us while being monitored π.
is 5 weeks old, he will be coming home soon. I know y'all are excited as we are. Cannot wait to get this lil fluffy one.
The newest little chickens are about to outgrow the brooder. You ever seen a chicken with a mohawk? We decided to get a little jazzy hands for our chickens. We are welcoming polish chickens to the barnyard mix.
We were heading out to run errands and LOOK who decide to make their arrival.....
Cindy Lou is a momma!!!
Lambs and snuggles.
Our very last bottle baby of the season. She is officially outdoors but comes in for a sip ever so often. Jenn-Jenn she is a special lil lamb
It's THAT season!!! Strawberries are here. We have fresh strawberries from Brown Farms, ready to kick up production for our AMAZING jellies that are offered in the FARMSTAND, on Etsy and on our webpage. As always we try to use local sources for our goodies. Help us support our local farmers.
Working the herd this AM. Momma's getting the all over treatment and rams being pulled. I will be collecting fecals soon and reaching out to our buyers.
It is official! The Farm stand is now open. No, the camper is not for sale. However, it is loaded with homemade goodies and local Farm fresh goodies that are for sale. Come out and see all the hard work we have put into this camper please don't critique our Carpenter skills as they are lacking. And take home some of this amazing goodness.
This may be our new guy. I REALLY like the looks of him.
Regardless- we have FINALLY decided on a name for our guy!
He shall be named Kaan pronounced KAHn. Meaning ruler. He is gonna be the next boss around here.
Probably the best place to live if you are a lamb in need.
Jenn- Jenn is back in the house, because Amber needed a friend.
We were about to check the big girls over late yesterday afternoon when we noticed a lamb with a visible limp, after we got ahold of her- she was in pretty bad shape. Top of her leg had been skinned as to only the muscle showing and she was walking on her hoof, as it was bent. She has a dressing in place and a pool noodle to hold her hock straight. She isn't sure about this intensive care stuff yet- but the couch is comfy.
We have chics in the brooder! We are adding a few polish chickens to the mix this year. We have had 4 broody momma's recently and we keep snatching the babies as they hatch. We changed their eggs if course as we wanted more bantams- so we replaced regular sized chicken eggs with the bantam eggs and we have been getting quite the return. As if we don't have enough chickens?
Y'all ready for a sneak peak of the FARM STAND, we have been working so hard to get up and running. We out grew our little 2 pallet FARMSTAND and needed to upcycle a bit. Here she is almost ready!!
Eyes open. This isn't our exact puppy, we don't know who the lucky guy is yet. But, we have our eyes on one of these kinda guys!
Cahide is getting a boyfriend soon!!
Current state of affairs. We are FINISHED lambing season, have begun kidding season, we have 3 more momma's left to kid. All the bottle babies are outside and doing well, except the repetitive cries that we are killing them.
All lambs have been (named) ear tagged, CDT vaccines and COWP. I will start collecting fecals soon and then I will be reaching out to prospective buyers. I highlighted a few yesterday, to keep extra eyes on because they looked so good!
We have TONS of colors this year!
Y'all remember the bottle lamb last year, the one the cat made friends with. Dolly. Here she is this year- with her ram lamb, killing motherhood.
He is kinda cute too π€
Do you remember these tiny little babies that had to be delivered by a c-section?
Astrid and Celeste have grown by leaps and bounds.
They are now our new guard Lambs in the front yard. They run to the gate with dogs- I'm waiting for them to try to bark π
And just like that we are goat Farmers too! π
Honey Lil Poo gave us two Nigerian dwarf bucklings, they weigh in at 1.9 lb and 2.2 lb.
Words cannot express how tiny and absolutely adorable these two guys are.
We are supposed to be working in the woods about right now. But, Jenn-Jenn had some milk and decided she would rather a nap. So, nap it is....
-Jenn
Cow therapy or halter training? I don't maybe both.
Puppy announcement.....
EylΓΌl has given birth to the babies!
New puppy coming soon. Not that we have anything else to do or anything π
We are bringing Cahide a boyfriend on board. Plus, Sophie and Xena will welcome some help around here. Our herd / flock is growing and so is the coyote population, we hear them as to what sounds they are getting closer and closer. In order to protect our investments we must do what is necessary.
Stay tuned for more cute puppy pics! π
Ayden and the rest of the cows were moved to the sheep pasture, and we're going to let the girls back into the woods starting tomorrow. He is not 100% sure about this situation. But he sure is a handsome little fella.
