I have 4 doe kids looking for a home. Preferably performance but a homestead is fine as well. I will be traveling to Davenport Washington next Friday the 19th and be heading home early the 21st. I can bring any doe kid with.

Yesterday I said bye to my old girl Lacey. She was 13. These past several months she’s been on and off food. This last Friday she just quit eating and I knew it was time. She wasn’t interested in browsing anymore. She just laid in the barn door and gazed out and napped in the sun. It’s never easy saying goodbye to a friend you’ve had their whole life, I was there when she was born at my friends barn. She came last in the group of triplets and I said and one for me. She was a wonderful doe that almost made top ten as a yearling first freshener and she gave me Mayhem. I’m forever thankful for that alone. Rest in peace sweet girl you deserve that.

Today is a sad day. For the last 7 weeks my old Boer doe Glitter has been dwindling. I believe she either fell and strained her back and leg or had a stroke because she was weak on the one side. She started to do well and was able to go back outside but took a turn for the worse Thursday and never recovered. She was eating still until late yesterday. She just curled up and went to sleep today. She talked to me a little towards the end in her quiet little voice. When I came back to check her she was gone. I believe her passing was peaceful and she wasn’t in pain, she looks like she just fell asleep.
I’ll miss you Glitter you were a good girl.

Yesterday was a good day. I got to see my friends and visit while doing something I love.
I really want to thank the new show chair Holley Steller and the entire show committee for the well organized show. It takes a lot of hours behind the scene to coordinate and organize a show. From the announcements, the thank you posts for all the sponsors and donations. Providing lunch for the crew. Through setup and take down which I know still has to happen but the very capable Justin Long will get it done. You all did great! Thank you! The time you put in really showed and I really appreciate all of you. 😊
Yesterday was a good day for the ladies as well they all did very well but Leisure Time PP Cinder 8*M won her 2nd Grand and BOB. She placed 1st twice and then a 2nd. I really think her udder gets her noticed, the girl’s got an udder!
And then my beautiful Baccara won a Reserve. Baccara is often in the final lineup but she finally won a reserve, super happy about that. 😊
Of course I want to thank Kolton Bloom for helping me show he actually got Cinder in the final lineup so she could win. And he helped with pictures. Thank you Kolton for always helping me!
It was a good day.

The ladies and I have a goat show tomorrow. They don’t like their udders shaved. I’ve noticed they are worse when I touch their tails. Duct tape for the win! It has never been easier than this morning. All four ladies stood still for the most part. Work smarter not harder! 😆
