The Leisure Time herd had a fabulous show this weekend at the NEWDGA show. Thank you’s go out to the new show chairs for the daunting task of putting on a show. Nice job ladies.
The junior does did so good.
Leisure Time TB Sentimental was 2nd, 2nd & 1st for her very first show and collar session. 🤣 it was a scared baby and a great bonding time.
Leisure Time Girls Night Out was 2nd, 1st and 5th.
My chunky dry yearling Leisure Time BB Onyx was culled for fat “lack of dairyness” in the first ring then 1st and 2nd. She was commended for her open flat ribbing and dairyness in the second ring. You just have to feel through a layer. She won a Reserve in the last ring where my friend Nicole won her first Grand, congratulations ☺️
Sr. Does
3 yr old first freshener Leisure Time VA Lil BlackDress was 6th, 9th, and 9th. They all said nice doe but she’s a first freshener so her time will come.
4yr olds:
Leisure Time PP Cinder 8*M is now a pending Champion. She won Grand in the first and second ring. I scratched her for the last ring.
Leisure Time GQ Kohala 7*M was 4th, 2nd and 1st. In the last Ring under Kristopher Fraley she won Grand and then Best In Show. ☺️
5yr old Leisure Time ZZ Black Baccara 5*M was 1st in all 3 rings and won a Reserve in ring 2 under Kimberly Fullen. Baccara has always shown well but this year as a five year old she’s finally getting some substance and depth and udder capacity to be competitive in the final lineup. I’m so proud of her reserves she won this year. I actually tear up over her winning those more than the others winning grands.
In the 2 rings we could compete the girls won Best Dairy herd as well.
We had a great show it was so needed after two years in a row of 1 reserve to show for the year of showing.
The Pacific Northwest has a lot of very nice herds. It’s getting harder to win the grands and reserves because the competition is fierce. So everyone who stands at the top of their classes be proud of your accomplishment because there are a lot of very nice goats in the ring.
Another highlight for me was showing in the last ring my Jubilee’s daughter owned by Kolton Bloom. She’s really maturing into a lovely doe and it was my pleasure to show her into first place. There were 3 Leisure Time goats representing the final lineup in the last ring.
Finally I want to thank my friends for their help getting my goats in the ring and all the pictures. I couldn’t have done it without you ladies. Thank you Nicole Hanni, Karen Bloom, Angel and Georgia Fyre. It was fun hanging out with you all.
