Merry Pickle-mas to all my pickle lovers out there 😋. When came to visit NYC last week we took a trip to the Bryant Park Holiday Market (before it started raining) and I had been dying to try ’s pickle flight so here we are!

But here are more thoughts on each one:

Half-Sour: loved the subtle tang to it and love half-sours in general
Kosher Dill: Dill-licious. My favorite of the flight
Full Sour (garlic): really garlicky but in a good way
Horseradish: I love horseradish but it was a bit overpowering
Wasabi: very strong wasabi flavor and this was my least favorite of the flight
Super Spicy: I love spicy things and this definitely packed some heat! (Recommend a bev with this one - don’t be like me 😅)

I feel like I deserve a round of a-claws because I’m posting food content for the first time in FOREVER 🤪 but one does not simply go to New England (specifically New Bedford, MA) and not get a lobster roll 🦞

The drip is strong with this one and in case you didn’t know this but I love Star Wars a ✨normal✨ amount. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Return of the Jedi is back in theaters and if you have time between now and May the 4th, highly recommend seeing it in theaters. Being born after the original Star Wars trilogy came out means I obviously missed my chance to experience it in theaters so when I heard the news it was coming back I jumped at the chance to see one of my favorite movies on a bigger screen than my TV at home. Basically if you are waffling on whether or not you should see it in theaters, in the words of Palpatine “Do it.” And a big thank you to for the Star Wars shirt and Ahsoka Tano bag ❤️

Now here’s hoping they release Empire Strikes Back in theaters for its 50th anniversary. 🤞

And since it’s less than a week away, Happy Star Wars Day! May the Fourth Be With You ✨

Hi friends! It’s been a minute. Just popping in to say hi and make sure you haven’t forgotten about me 😜. How are you all doing??

2023 really hit the ground running and life has gotten hectic and all over the place and I’m gonna be honest — I really haven’t had the time or frankly the motivation to post as much on Instagram. Don’t get me wrong, The Ginger Foodie is still foodie-ing but creating and posting content has been a bit of an afterthought lately. Which is a shame because I really want to get back into posting food content but the concept of making reels has me 😵‍💫. I’ll get to it I promise. I have clips from a recent Miami trip that I need to edit. SOMEONE PLEASE YELL AT ME 😭

I’ve had some ups and some downs lately but I’m thankful for the amazing people both on and offline. But to keep things food related because that’s still the persona I want to be here, I’d love to know — what’s a new dish that you tried recently that you really enjoyed? Curious to hear what you’re all eating.

Congratulations Nina, you’ve now reached level 31. ❤️

I will say, the past few days leading up to my birthday has been a bit rough - for the past week I’ve been sick with COVID but luckily for my birthday I got the lovely present of a negative test. I’m still not fully 100% but feeling much better than I did a few days ago. We’re getting there!

But I’m so thankful that I have my health and I’m on the mend (just need this cough to go away please and thank you).

AND I’m even more thankful to have such wonderful people in my life and I’m not being hyperbolic when I say my heart is so full. Thank you so much for the birthday love and birthday wishes. Cheers to another rotation around the sun!

I traveled to Philly for a Giants game and only got booed at 20 times 😌. I may be 0-2 in seeing the Giants play in Philly but the opportunity to see my team play in the playoffs for the first time in person and in their first playoff run since 2016 was an experience I wouldn’t trade for the world. And that I got to share it with one of my best friends made it all the more amazing.

Remember when you’re lost in darkness…look for the light. Full disclosure I never played The Last of Us (because I only have an Xbox lol) but got to see the premiere episode of the new series thanks to and for someone who knows that the plot only involves zombies, it was a really well done first episode. And also…Pedro Pascal 😍 AND Anna Torv who played Olivia Dunham from my favorite show Fringe (I cosplayed as Fauxlivia heh)

The first episode was about 85 minutes long but I could’ve honestly sat in my seat for another hour because time is fake and I was enthralled. The Last of Us comes out this Sunday 1/15 and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest if the season.

Believe in the fireflies or something I guess? 😅
