Howdy everyone, I apologize for my absence. I have not forgotten about y’all and I hope you all haven’t forgotten about me! I did not want to post anything regarding baking until I knew that I would be able to bake comfortably, but I know that wasn’t fair for y’all. With Lord’s help, everything should return more less to normal after October 15 ❤️🙏🏼! Until that date arrives, I pray, I can still pocket in some baking for y’all this week and next week. Please keep an eye on the page and turn your notifications on so you can see when I am baking.

The month of October is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary and leads up to November, which is dedicated to The Faithful Departed and The Holy Souls in Purgatory. With that said, with the Lord’s help and Grace, I will be baking some familiar and new baked goods in honor of those whom we have lost and have gone before us. In the hope, of reminding us to never forget to pray for them and perhaps help rekindle warm memories and beautiful moments we shared with our BELOVED deceased friends and family that we now carry in our hearts! Until we meet them again and see them, with the help of God’s mercy, face to face. 🙏🏼💚❤️🌹

The menu for October will be:

Pan de Mu**to
Cempasuchil (Marigold) stamp conchas
Co**ha Muertas dusted with Cinnamon Sugar
Pastel or cake de Mu**to
Galletas or Cookies de Mu**to
Pan Blanco

I usually am silent. I post very few memories or moments on social media and just stick to posting about my baked goods etc. Those that know me well know that I’m an introvert at heart and don’t complain, keep a tight mouth, and keep things in my heart but unfortunately, my humanity shows from time to time and this is one of those times.

Volunteer work is a BIG part of who I am and how I raised my kids. I have volunteered for church events, school events, and work events most of life, from childhood to the present day. I don’t look for recognition and my name up in lights. I usually ask for everyone to remain silent and not make a fuss for the tasks I complete and/or participate in. I’m quite happy in my silence but perhaps it’s time to speak up and say a lot of something.

The next time you attend a fundraising event, please remember to remain humble and be kind, be patient, and to take others around you into account-step outside yourself. The next time you order food from a kitchen/outdoor vendor before you begin to complain that your order is taking a little too long or how the food might have been just a little too salty or perhaps a little greasy or SPICY. Remember something important, the people working said events are volunteers. Some of these volunteers come from out of town and spend a little over a week to help put on these events. Some close their small businesses to help. Some even use their vacation time and work outside in the grueling humidity and heat to help make these events as pain free for visitors that come to support and to help the volunteers to set up their booths etc. These volunteers are not professional cooks etc and the reason sometimes your order may take a little longer than normal is because there is a 75 plus year old woman making your enchiladas fresh to order, there is a crew of 75 plus year old men working behind the scenes frying your fish, there is a 73 plus year old woman cutting your vegetables. The next time the food may not be to your liking remember there is an older gentleman cooking. If you are younger or older and you feel you can make/cook things better then be better and volunteer! Be proactive and be part of the solution NOT the problem. Come taste and see how difficult yet rewarding volunteer work can be. Bring your spatula and say Mr Krabs I can make better Krabby Patties and I am here to VOLUNTEER and help. We all can’t be the next YouTube star, or famous influencer, or Lottery winner and that’s ok. You can still make a difference in your life and the lives of others and be a WINNER by volunteering and serving others from your heart!

Orange, White, and Tie Dye conchas are $2.25 each and will be available for tomorrow! Unfortunately at this time, I have a limited amount of conchas and I CANNOT take orders with specific colors for this sale. Hey there! I’m sorry y’all for not posting this sooner but life has a way of making things get very busy and time seems to be the rogue thief that escape’s (that we can never seem to catch😬)!

With that said, I will be posting and delivering a little differently for these next couple of months and I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Once this episode of my life is completed, things will resume as usual.

Instead of filling the bread to order, I will be baking the bread first, posting the selection of bread that is available, and then delivering. Everything will still be fresh as always. Supply might be a little extra limited during this time but as I said, all will return to normal sooner than later. Hopefully, God willing, by the middle of October!

With Our Good Lord’s help, I will be posting bread this week and if all goes well, with Heavens help, I will have Paw Print Co**has (Bulldog Co**ha’s) NEXT week for Eddy County War😉. I don’t know what day I will be baking the conchas yet or how many days I will be able to bake conchas! Just wanted to give you a little peek into what’s coming soon!
