Based in Asheville, NC, Hanami Tea Company started in 2015 with The Goddess Line of Herbal Tea—13 Teas for the Sacred Feminine. After a successful 2016 with our first six teas in the line (Aphrodite's Pleasure, Forest Nymph, Queen of Heaven, Persephone's Dream, Pele's Fire, and Parvati's Happiness), we are taking the winter in Asheville to finish the last seven teas in the line, and get ready for
expansion. Our hopes and goals for 2017 are:
~to debut the full line of 13 teas for the sacred feminine
~to host a launch party in collaboration with the fantastic Asheville artist Jacqueline Maloney
~to actively vend at craft and art fairs around the Southeast and beyond
~to expand our wholesale operation
~to launch our full website
and last but not least...
~to start projects beyond the line of 13 teas, including event service, matcha tea ceremony, and other exciting things in the world of tea! You can try the available teas of the Goddess Line though our website, hanamitea.com

postscript:
Hanami is a Japanese word that refers to the zen practice of looking at and appreciating the transient beauty of cherry blossoms in the spring. In modern Japan, Hanami also refers to late night parties with friends held under blossoming trees. No small amount of tea and sake are enjoyed during Hanami. I chose this name to honor in one breath both the sacred beauty of life, and our ability to just let loose and enjoy ourselves.
