12 years of popcorn joy, and what a 12 years it’s been!

What started as Ginger’s desire to spend more time with her kids has grown into something so much bigger than we could have imagined. Over the years, we’ve weathered a roof caving in, a global pandemic, a devastating hurricane, packaging and location changes, staff changes, watched kids grow up and head out into the world, and built countless partnerships and collaborations along the way.

So much has changed. But one thing has stayed the same: people keep showing up.

Our team keeps showing up and putting their time, care, and love into every batch of popcorn. And you keep showing up to share it, gift it, celebrate with it, and make Poppy a part of your lives.

That’s what 12 years means to us. It’s not just 12 years of popcorn. It’s 12 years of people, memories, partnerships, resilience, and a whole lot of love 💕

October is National Women’s Small Business Month, and this one feels especially close to our hearts here at Poppy 💖🍿

Women own more than 14 million small businesses across the U.S. and behind every one of those businesses is a woman who had an idea, took a chance, and built something of her own.

As a company owned and run by women, we’re committed to championing equality, both here at Poppy and in our everyday lives. That means supporting the women around us, celebrating the businesses they’ve built, and creating space for more women to grow, lead, and succeed.

We feel especially lucky to see Poppy on the shelves of so many women-owned shops and to get to collaborate with women who are building something of their own! There’s something really special about women supporting women and cheering each other on along the way!

October First Friday is here! 🍂🧡✨

If you’re on our email list, you may know that we send out a little Poppy First Fridays update each month with what’s happening around here. We figured these updates deserve a spot on social, too, so here’s your October edition!

⛳️ PGA Championship Asheville: We had an unforgettable time partnering with Biltmore Championship Asheville Asheville to create a limited-edition Poppy bag for the tournament. Even better, the event helped support MANNA FoodBank (Asheville, NC) 🤍 We also spotted Governor Josh Stein Josh Stein enjoying the championship Signature Mix! 🍿

Our limited-edition Caramel Apple flavor launches Monday, 10/5! A portion of proceeds will benefit The Public School Forum of North Carolina ❤️

Happy National Pumpkin Spice Day! Your PSL is missing one thing: pumpkin spice popcorn. 🎃🍿⁠

For the Pumpkin Spice Syrup: ⁠
½ cup brown sugar⁠
½ cup water⁠
1 tsp pumpkin spice (we love )⁠
⁠
Add everything to a small saucepan + simmer until the sugar dissolves. Let cool.⁠
⁠
For the Pumpkin Spice Latte: ⁠
2 shots espresso⁠
1–2 tbsp pumpkin spice syrup⁠
¾ cup milk, steamed or frothed⁠
Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream (we scooped ours up at )⁠
Poppy Pumpkin Spice popcorn⁠
⁠
Add the syrup to your espresso, pour in the milk + give it a stir. Top with whipped cream and a few pieces of Pumpkin Spice popcorn for a little sweet + cozy crunch.⁠

Worth getting whipped cream on your nose 😉
