We have had the privilege to welcome BraveHearts Therapeutic Riding & Educational Center to Gardiner Angus Ranch this week. Bravehearts offers mental health and wellness services for military veterans. The group joined us for cutting horse demonstration and practice, then on to the pastures to roundup some cows. Thanks to Meggan Hill-McQueeney for organizing the trip and all the veterans that joined us for an amazing couple of days! We are grateful for your service to our nation.

The evening before our 47th Annual Production Sale in April, several Select Sires staff members joined us to pay tribute to Brian House of Select Sires Beef. After 33 years with Select Sires, Brian retired earlier this year. We thank Brian for all his dedicated service and friendship. You're always welcome in Ashland any time the fish aren't biting, Brian!

11TH ANNUAL MEATING DEMAND BULL SALE RESULTS

Three auctions, from January to May, we have set new records at Gardiner Angus Ranch. We are immensely grateful and humbled by the loyalty of our customer base and many new customers joining us for the very first time. We are also thankful for each call from new customers seeking more information to add value and quality. The success stories to be told are those of our customers choosing to invest resources to improve the quality and value of the cattle and beef leaving their operations destined for the food supply.

We want to extend both gratitude and congratulations to Frank VanderSloot and the entire Riverbend Ranch team for making one of the boldest moves in the Angus seedstock business by investing $1,050,000 in 49% of GAR Market Maker. Market Maker is a young sire destined to change populations of beef cattle. This son of B&B Preeminent out of GAR Kansas N762, to date, is the culmination of what we can achieve with a commitment to multi-trait discipline over decades.

GAR 11TH ANNUAL MEATING DEMAND BULL SALE

Two sets of bred commercial females sell in our Meating Demand Bull Sale, Monday, May 4.

The first set is from Josh McKinney, McKinney Land & Cattle in Laverne, Oklahoma. He is offering 14 groups of commercial Angus bred spring pairs. Groups 1-5 are AI sired by GAR Beacon while Groups 6-14 are sired by GAR sires. The buyer is bidding on the entire group, but may take multiple groups. Settlement and hauling arrangements will be handled directly with Josh.

The second set are 73 GAR commercial bred Angus heifers selling in 7 groups.. These females will make elite commercial replacements. They are bred to high-use GAR AI sires and sons of GAR AI and ET sires. Again, buyers are bidding on an entire group, but may take multiple groups.
