Super-stoked to be part of Wi******er Ag Day, and to be presenting both the farm and the mill! Come by to say hello, fo**le some wool, see qhat the mill is all about and maybe even greet some cute animals!

This is a very brief read or listen, but should be encouraging to those of us who raise wool sheep.

The next step will HAVE to be to STOP SELLING OUR FARMLAND TO DEVELOPERS! "No farms, no food" is not just a cute slogan.

Right now, there aren’t enough sheep in the world to meet a growing demand for wool.

Flock and herd reductions in progress, please PM me if you are looking for pasture additions!

Lambing is over, and we are we adjusting the sheep onto grass. Most if them will be moved to a leased field where they have more nutritious forage than turf grass.

What's next? Well, with forward movement toward starting up the fiber mini mill we will have to scale back the sheep flock and goat herd. Frankly, that needs to happen mill or not, because Shannon loves allll the sheepies. Well, most of them.🤭 And hay is expensive. But cuts are hard, we will have to let go of some some very nice animals in order to ensure that everyone continues to get the care they need and deserve.

It. Has. Been. A. Trip. I know most farmers feel this way after lambing (and we do have one more ewe to go) but seriously.....in the future the limit for first time mamas in a season is ONE! You hear that, future me? ONE!

I allowed myself one keeper fleece from this year's shear. This is Cow's lamb fleece, she is 3/4 Finnsheep, 1/4 CVM, born of our ewe Nim and our ram Tamarack who passed last year.

Sorry kids, this one's mine. 💕

Twins for Rosie this morning! A ewe and a ram, both healthy. Rosie is a Romney, and the sire is our CVM ram. Rosie is an excellent mother, who keeps very well and carries an udder dairy barns would envy. I am very excited to see these two grow!

Time for another hay run!

This yarn is 100% wool, a farm blend from some of my own sheep, and washes up nice and fluffy. Reds are hard to capture, the first picture is the most accurate.

ALL proceeds go directly to the sheepies' hay bill.

The yarn was prepared and spun at Alchemy Fiber Mill in Easthampton Mass., and dyed-to-order at Wonderland Yarns/Frabjous Fibers in Brattleboro, VT. I am thrilled with the way the tonal dye came out!

Each skein weighs approximately 3.5 oz/100g, and will be MOL 200yds. 9-10 WPI

Price is PER SKEIN, with a $20 discount for all 12 together.

Pick up in Ashuelot, NH, or meet up within 30 minutes. Will ship Pirate Ship/Venmo, shipping at buyer's expense.

First Lambs of 2026!

We are very excited for lambing season, but particularly so about these new lambs from Uma and the pending ones from Padova. These are purebred Romeldale/CVM ewes, who travelled with their assigned mate, Oku, from Ramsay Farms in Wisconsin.

Not only are Romeldale/CVMs valuable on their own merit, producing soft, very low-micron fleeces along with growthy lambs, they make suberb crosses with other select breeds. Oku also had the privilege of servicing my full-Finnsheep adult ewe and an adult Romney ewe. All other small girls and yearling first-timers were covered by our Fine-fleeced Shetland ram.

Romeldale/CVMs are on the Livestock Conservancy List, and as such are eligible for Shave 'Em to Save 'Em passport stickers for fiber artists!

Welcome to the world, Dot and Dash!
