Mosley Farms From our farm to your table. We want to share the abundance we grow, including eggs, fruits, and vegetables.

Operating as usual

Well, we've wrapped up the produce for the summer. Thanks to all for your interest and patronage. As always we have plenty of fresh eggs!

I have been slammed with the garden, so forgive me for not updating. Tim told me the corn is coming in. Just in time for the 4th. Silver Queen, sweet and juicy from all the rain. $5.00 doz. or $20.00 a bushel while it lasts. Green beans have all but played out. Plenty of cucumbers, and will be second crop of tomatoes soon. Butterbeans are looking good.

Our first 40' row of green beans is coming in. This is today's picking which will be roughly 10 qts canned. We still have 150' of green beans yet to start in the big garden. Be thinking about what you want/need. We will be selling by the lb/peck/or bushel. Let me know what you will be wanting and as they come in I will let you know. Thanks so much for the support and encouragement.

Quick update: Busy raising vegetables, and puppies, and chicks. Had a great day with Aunt Ruby and Iris and they picked up the cabbages Tim grew for her for kraut. I think Nick grows an inch a day, as well as the corn, beans, and tomatoes. All the spring veggies and strawberries are pretty much done, but tomatoes, peppers, and green beans do not look too far off for starters. The hens are laying abundantly so think omelets, pound cakes, and quiche. Don't you just LOVE this time of year. We sure do and look forward to sharing the upcoming season with you all.

Meet Nick, newest member to the farm. I think farmer Tim likes him.... :)

Update: We have been incredibly busy as always this time of year. Tim has gotten corn planted, green beans, tomatoes, peppers and squash for now. We have been finishing up the last of the spring garden and processed 24 meat chickens today with the help of good friends and neighbors. The hens are laying well and with this wonderful rain tonight we will be planting more soon. Let us know what else you might want. We plan on adding butterbeans, purple hull peas, okra, cucumbers, eggplant. The blueberries are looking wonderful and we expect a big harvest there.

Some of the veggies we've grown in the past include corn, okra, green beans, butter beans (speckled and green), tomatoes, egg plants, bell peppers, banana peppers, hot peppers, squash, zucchini, purple hull peas, cucumbers (both slicing and pickling), watermelons, cantaloupes, english peas, potatoes, carrots, lettuces, broccoli, cabbages, collards, kale, turnips, mustard, and cauliflower. Fruits include blueberries, peaches, apples, pears, figs, strawberries, and blackberries. Also, Concord grapes, muscadines and scuppernongs. Obviously much of this is seasonal and we don't necessarily grow them all every year. But we can if the demand is there. :) What is not on the list that you'd be interested in?
