Big day!!!! I’m getting all the dahlias put in the ground. I have close to 125 tubers and starts. Hopefully we can get these in the ground before it gets too hot. I’m exhausted after planting 200+ cut flower starts yesterday 🫠 All this hard work will pay off!

You know that song “In Too Deep” by Sum 41?? Yeah that’s me right now 😅 I have so many cut flowers to plant and no time to plant. Oh and the 100 plus tomatoes need to go in the ground 🫠 If anyone is itching to get their hands dirty, come on over! I could use any and all help! I’ll give you free flowers once they start blooming 😉

It’s time to pinch those snapdragons! This is a super easy way to multiply your snapdragon crop but also have a plant that will produce 3x the amount of flowers!

-Idenifty which snaps you can take cuttings off of. You want to leave two to 3 TRUE LEAVES. Don’t strip them bare!

-Pinch off your selected top.

-Dip into rooting hormone and stick that bad boy into soil!

BOOM DONE! Literally so easy!!!

Okay so like who made me plant all of this stuff?!
Oh wait.. it was me 😵‍💫 the farm is waking up as we speak. 400 tulip bulbs & 215 garlic cloves are sprouting, snapdragons are flourishing in the greenhouse and in the house, lupine is growing like a w**d in the greenhouse, larkspur is trying, onions are huge, and everything else that in growing under lights is insane.. and I have more stuff to start 😬 eeekkkk send help!

Lazy Sunday’s sowing seeds, transplanting, and creating more dahlias is my ideal way to spend the day 🙌🏼 Here’s a little tutorial on how to take dahlia cuttings. Most of the dahlias I grew last year came from cuttings. It’s super easy and an awesome way to double your tubers!

Sowing some Lupine today 🥰

Lupine are VERY easy to grow and boy they are gorgeous! They benefit off of Cold Moist Stratification so popping them in the fridge on the wet paper towel for two weeks, will help them germinate! You can also soak them for 20 second in boiling water to help break down the seed coat.

Today I made up a seed starting/ potting mix that came from Floret Flower. She posted a whole video on it so if you’re curious on learning why, go check it out! I decided to get my butt into gear because I have thousands of flower seeds to sow and not one seed has been sown 😬 but finding a good soil mix to start your plant in is soooo important. I have gad far too many crops fail from crappy soil.

Floret Recipe:

1 bale of pro mix
1 5 gallon bucket of compost
6 cups of bone meal
3 cups of kelp meal
2 1/4 of blood meal
