No better time than now for regenerative solutions ✌️🙏❤️

This weekend Jairo Restrepo taught in Atlanta about several easy to make hot and cold mineral brews that prevent and control plant pests and diseases. By understanding the direct relation between diseases and nutritional deficiencies in crops we can select the appropriate brew to bring plants back into a state of nutritional harmony. Accessible, affordable, and empowering.

Bio-fertilizers harness an anaerobic fermentation process to secure vital minerals in a bio-available form making minerals less susceptible to leaching and more available to plant roots than minerals just scattered on the ground.

Theron Beaudreau explains in his article “Re-mineralizing soils with bio-fertilizer” that anaerobes eat up all kinds of minerals so we can use them to our advantage. Once a mineral element finds its way into the body of a microorganism, it becomes available to other microorganisms. In this way, mineral elements begin to climb the food chain and eventually reach your plants and then find their way into the human body! And eating mineral rich food equals better human health!

Preparing indigenous microorganisms for Jairo’s course November 1-3, 2019, Atlanta GA (registration link in bio). Native microorganisms are an ingredient in many of the recipes in Jairo’s ABC of Organic Agriculture book. Microorganisms from forest soil nearby your crop fields are not only free but also the most well adapted to your area. This means they have a much better chance of surviving in your local ecosystem and can provide the greatest benefit to your plants.

Our first action .tierra is to bring Jairo Restrepo’s flagship course to Atlanta, GA (link in bio) and more info , The ABCs of Organic Agriculture. This course delves into the science and recipes in featured in Jairo’s seminal book by the same name: The ABC of Organic Agriculture”, translated into English for the first time and distributed by , , and Cooperativa Bosque Madre. The chapters include 1. Fermented organic fertilizers, 2. Biofertilizers prepared and fermented using cow dung, 3. Mineral brews, 4. Phosphites, and 5. Stone Meal (dedicated to Julius Hensel).

From the forward: “This book is a manual that explains that high quality food can be grown affordably on small farms using minimal inputs. Starting with the basic chemistry of the soil, it leads the reader on a journey from the science of soil nutrition through mineral ferments mimicking the stomach of a cow, and onto the application of microbial brews to fortify living systems all around us. We can build natural fertility back into our soils without having to resort to the drugs of the agriculture supply industry- we have the ingredients for health and productivity under our noses.”

The wisdom is radical and rich and the practical applications indispensable.
