MAIN LOGO, ALTS, AND SUBMARKS, OH MY…⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Way too often we’re hearing that ya’ll don’t know the difference between different logo variations or even what in the heck you should even do with them.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So we comin’ in hot this friday and droppin’ some knowledge.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your main logo is the whole shebang. It’s the main way you’ll be representing your brand. It typically includes your entire business name and tagline, as well as any graphic elements to help encompass your brand as a whole. We typically use it overlayed on an image at the top of your website or in the main navigation, as well as across branded collateral items like pricing guides and business cards.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Alternative logos are exactly that, alternatives to your main logo. They usually include all the pieces of your main logo, just in a different layout or variation. As brand designers, we want to make sure you have a logo for every instance and alt logos do just that. We love to use these in website footers as they show off your branding and business name, without copying the same main logo.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Submarks can include pieces of your main or alternative logos, but they’re best used as simple elements of your brand - whether that be your brand’s initials or a graphic element or illustration. We love to use submarks as an element in a collage on your website, or as your favicon, or profile image on social media accounts.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Most importantly, though, you need ALL THREE for a well-rounded brand that not only looks great but will grow with you as your business grows.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And if we know you… your business is about to see some MAJOR growth in 2020 babe.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
