A w**emaker spends years shaping a w**e. What happens between opening the bottle and pouring your glass should honor that work.
Last night, our founder, Seth, ordered a glass of premium California w**e at a stunning and popular, but unnamed, restaurant. After tasting it, he learned the bottle had been opened five days earlier.
The w**e had oxidized. He returned the glass and ordered an entire unopened bottle, which he enjoyed with his friend. His server understood and apologized.
But the experience raised a question: what if that glass had been someone’s first introduction to the w**ery?
They might never know what they were meant to taste.
Behind every w**e are people who care about the details—the growing season, the harvest, the decisions that make it theirs. That care deserves to reach you.
The DAOU Vineyards bottle, Free Flow W**es keg, and VinoBarrel club keychains pictured here tell another story: different ways to bring people together around w**e, with care for how it reaches the glass. It’s also why the Steel Keg Association work around reusable steel kegs matters to us. It’s also more sustainable for the planet!
As we build our social w**e club, we want to give people a place to discover a favorite, share it with friends, and come back knowing the experience has been thoughtfully cared for.
The w**emaker starts the story. Your glass should do it justice. 🍷
At a restaurant, how long after opening would you feel comfortable being served w**e from a bottle that’s simply been re-corked?
