When it comes to choosing a white wine, two wines I tend to bypass are Riesling and Zinfandel. Riesling is such a popular varietal that I felt that I had to give it a go again. I found this bottle for what I thought was a real bargain. Turns out, not so much. But, as many Riesling bottles have, there was a sweetness level chart on the back indicating that it was medium sweet. I tend to stay away from sweet wines, but, what the heck, I need to widen my “wine world”. I’m kind of sitting on the fence on this one. It wasn’t bad, just passably pleasant. I guess I was seduced by the 90 points rating on the front of the bottle. Just goes to show you can’t believe everything you read.
