I know these pics aren’t the best, they would not look up and cooperate with me at all! But I love these babies so much! They are getting so big so fast and their feathers are starting to fill out more. I have 6 paint and 2 lavenders in case it’s hard to tell with all the chicken Twister game going on. I have to give a shoutout to the creator of my babies! Bluebonnet Silkies TX ! I have had the highest hatch rate with her 🥚🥚s! More than any other I have received this year! And let me tell you, there was a lot! I know there is always a risk with hatching eggs and I accept that when I order. That being said, out of all of those shipments, hers was hands down the best packaged. I’m not saying the others weren’t good or didn’t try, well one was down right inexcusable (I posted about that one back a few months ago) but hers was definitely the best! I feel like it helped immensely with the hatch rate I received! Go check her out if you are looking for some silkie babies. She has a variety to choose from.

I woke up with wry neck, I’m a Silkie, so it happens more than usual for us. Even though my lady tries with supplements, it still happens. She’s been really busy lately. But look! She’s humiliating me! She takes me to work now to make sure I eat and drink. She puts me in the cup holder to ride in the car, and at work, she props me on her desk like I’m a decoration! She thinks I’m a baby rooster and she’s probably right, but I’m not telling! I will continue to throw my hissy fits and be uncooperative! I can’t wait until I’m better again! This nasty vitamin that she gives me is sticky and makes a mess on me! Ugh, I’d rather just be in my pen rolling around getting p**p stuck all over my head then be subjected to this torture! Please send me good vibes for a speedy recovery so I can go back to my brooder buddies! 🙈 🐥

This guy was suffering from major heat exhaustion and was on deaths door. I didn’t think he was going to survive. We pumped him full of electrolytes and vitamins. We brought him in and put him in the tub in AC. He stays in a sling during the day for exercise and he has made such improvements. His legs are still not 100% but he’s getting there.
