Our goal and the reason for creating Vino Alliance is this...

We want to travel all over this magnificent country and visit small to midsize Italian family-owned wineries. We want to meet the families, visit their cellars, their vineyards, and see if they have wine that meets our personal standards.

Then we want to share those wines in the US through personal and enjoyable wine tasting events.

All while providing education about wine, Italian culture, and the sites that we visit.

We love exploring the rich history of this country 🇮🇹

This is Radicofani! A commune in the Province of Siena in the Italian region Tuscany. The main landmark here is its Rocca (Castle), of Carolingian origin, documented since 978 as the Castle of Ghino di Tacco. It was restored after the conquest from the Grand Duchy of Tuscany (1560–67).

It's becoming a tradition!

We have been fortunate enough to be at VINITALY international wine and spirits exhibition two years in a row.

Vinitaly is the largest wine exhibition in the world and has embraced the entire global wine supply chain for 55 years.

We enjoyed multiple days focused on promoting relationships between producers, buyers, and stakeholders and sharing experiences and skills.

Our desire to choose a wine to import is based on these key elements:

1. We must personally like the wine. How can we make a recommendation on a wine that we don't enjoy?

2. There must be a story to tell. Whether it's a story of the land or the story of the family that owns it, we are suckers for a great story.

3. The winemaking standards must be of very high quality.

Bonus: We prefer the winery to be predominantly family owned where the passion for their craft is evident.

Italy's 20 regions are home to over 540 different vine varieties. These vines only grow and produce grapes in Italy, unlike French vines, which are grown all over the world.

Meaning that the flavors of Italian wines are unique and not standardized 🍷
