Meet the Cart Strategist 🛒
These savvy consumers buy only what they’ll actually use. Before they ever get to the store, they check the fridge, freezer, and pantry to see what’s already there. Then they shop with a list, built around that inventory, not around whatever looks good in the aisle.
This one habit eliminates two of the biggest sources of wasted food at once: buying food you already have and buying food with no plan for how it’ll get used.

If gusty winds and rain are in your forecast, make plans to secure your solid waste containers. Winds can blow trash creating litter, and flooding rain can sweep up unsecured containers creating a safety hazard in our streets. Help keep our streets safe for first responders and our solid waste crews by securing your containers.

If strong winds leave limbs and branches in your yard, don’t toss these items in with trash. Check locally for the storm debris pick-up schedule or drop-off locations.

Stepped on one too many plastic pieces in the middle of the night? Ouch! We’ve been there, too. If your kids no longer play with the bricks, donate the bricks to inspire a new generation of builders. A big thank you our friends at Buffalo Rock, Newnan branch who volunteered with us at Evans Middle School today! Their team helped clean up and prepare the school garden so the Environmental Club and 7th grade science students can plant new items this fall. 🍂🌻

School gardens provide valuable outdoor learning spaces where students can explore, experiment, and connect science lessons to the world around them. 🌎🔬

We appreciate for investing in our students and helping create hands-on learning opportunities! 💚

Sometimes making a difference starts with something as simple as a smile, a handful of bubbles, and a kid who gets excited about playing outside. 🫧💚

That’s why we love being part of community events like Summer Newnanights! These events give us the opportunity to connect with families, engage with kids, and turn environmental stewardship into something fun, memorable, and hands-on.

When children learn that the water they splash in, the creeks they explore, and the parks where they play are all connected to the choices we make every day, they begin to see themselves as part of the solution. 🌱💧
A giant bubble wand may seem like just a little bit of fun—but it opens the door to conversations about clean water, litter, recycling, and protecting the places we all share.

Because the goal isn’t just to teach kids how to care for the environment. It’s to help them love their community enough to want to protect it. ❤️
We’ll keep showing up, playing, laughing, learning—and reminding our youngest community members that every small action can make a big difference.

Clean water. Clean community. Bright future. 🌎💙

Upgrading your phone or laptop? Don't place the old phone or computer in the trash or in with your recyclables. These items can create a fire hazard in the truck, at the recycling center, or at the landfill. Take the items to a drop-off site for electronics recycling or check with the business where you purchased the new item to see if they take back old devices for recycling.
