It's that time of year, and I hope this little fawn makes it. On Thursday, I finally saw my resident coyote, it was very comfortable here. I watched the momma wash the baby down before she left it to go forage, wildlife knows what they're doing.

Hey everyone, I've been SUPER busy with the garden, girls, spring chores, and the last of my lavender is about to come in. I had my yard people tear out most of my plants since I couldn't get myself to do it; when it was done, it was a relief. I have around a dozen mature plants left and will take some cuttings after the bloom. I love lavender but only need enough for my purposes.

I wanted to share with you a few photos of a cactus a friend gave me several years ago, she said, "Be patient it'll be worth the wait." It took about five years, but it WAS worth the wait. It's called an Epiphyllum cactus or Orichid cactus, I have never seen one before and if you ever stumble across one, sn**ch it up!

I'm trying to make a few babies for friends, but only have so much cactus to go around.

Yesterday, I picked my turnips, even my helpers had their own bucket to snack on. This morning, I blanched and froze the greens, keeping the turnips to cook later.

Hey everybody, I have decided to retire the business after much thought and consideration. During this year, I'll phase out all legal aspects of BCLF. I plan to sell Bugs Away, Itch Away, and other products at my mailbox or on Etsy.

Making tinctures, tonics, soaps, and concoctions on a large scale was a lot of fun, but now it's a chore and I don't want to do it anymore. Lugging the necessary tent, equipment, and bins to Farmers Markets has lost its appeal, especially when it's not profitable.

I'll post and keep you updated as things move along. Honestly, after making the decision, I haven't felt this happy and free in many years. Many of you know my birthday is on Monday and this was the best birthday present I could ever give myself.

Hey everyone, I hope y'all are enjoying our second revolution; every day is like Christmas morning!

I wasn't going to do any markets this year, but rumors suggest that the Milton Market may be held monthly, and I might sign up for it once it comes together.

I've been super busy with home improvement projects this winter and about to grout my first tile project.

I need to work on my website. I reactivated my Etsy account, but don't have any active listings yet.

I wanted to update you on my egg glassing project from last year. I preserved about 90 eggs in a lime/water solution and ate one this morning, which was delicious. The only difference I noticed was that the wall between the yolk and white broke down but the flavor was normal and the texture was still very tender. I preserved these on April 24, 2024, ten months later, they're perfect for baking or scrambled eggs. If you own chickens, you should definitely glass some eggs.

FYI - my $0.02. If you plan on buying chicks this spring, make sure they haven't been jabbed for Bird Flu because it's an mRNA-based type, hopefully, RFK or Rollins ban their use.

Good Saturday morning, everyone. After nine years of fighting a psy-war, I finally feel more like myself again. I've already made buttermilk cornbread and started sweet-n-spicy peanuts for Christmas.

BTW, X is awesome. If you thought that Trump was going to lose or that it was close, you're getting your news from the wrong places. There are great accounts to follow for news, photography, travel, history, cooking, I could go on and on. Honestly, the lame-stream media propaganda networks are dead, we are the news now.

Evidently, many in the D Party are questioning where all of the D voters went this election cycle... I can't wait till they figure out 2020 was stolen.

There was also massive fraud this time, but we blocked it with people on the ground, law enforcement, and attorneys.
