Aleck's Barbecue was founded in 1942 by Ernest Alexander. Aleck's was a haven for the Civil Rights Movement in the 50's and 60's.
Aleck and Virginia had 5 different BBQ styled restaurants in their time. Aleck's is now catering to the Atlanta area and elsewhere, via the internet. Aleck's is known for it's famous Come-Back Sauce that goes Great on everything from eggs and grits to ribs, chicken and fish . After Ernest became ill with a stroke in 1979, Pamela Alexander Ernest and Virginia's youngest daughter, took over the day to day operations .
