International Hot and Spicy Day

As Haitian born cook and entrepreneur, scotch bonnet peppers are a staple in my house, like every Haitian household. Due to the recent situation in Haiti, I started growing my own peppers. I am starting in spring, and they are usually ready in three months. I look forward to the fresh and crisp smell during harvest, a sweet reminder of Haiti. I use these scotch peppers for both and the famous Haitian Piklis (Haitian coleslaw)! 🌶

Piklis is found in every Haitian’s kitchen. It’s a very important part of our culture. It’s used to marinate meats and seafood or just drizzled all over your food for a spicy pickled taste. It’s yummy every time!
