Another farm lesson on patience and Gods timing. I started calling my farm friends TWO WEEKS ago panicking that a baby was coming, well - it didn’t. Not even close. I’ve let go and let God and I’m only checking the birth center camera here and there. 🤪😜

May so far has been wonderful and we’ve finally made it to summer break. The gardens are loving this rain, and I’ve planted more than I ever have so I’m excited to see it all come together. It’s not slow and peaceful everyday. In fact, most days I fall into bed but it is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done outside of raising my babies.

Love this six acre slice of heaven and I’m thrilled to be sharing it with you all!

This garden hack will keep you in tomatoes until the very end of summer/fall!! 🌱🍅

Instead of tossing all the suckers I pruned off, I tucked them into little pots to root and now they’re hanging out at the farm stand looking for homes!

These are all heirloom, open-pollinated, non-GMO tomatoes grown from seed here on our farm. The varieties are a mystery because apparently labeling is a skill I still haven’t mastered! They could be:
• Burbank slicing tomatoes
• Grandma’s slicing tomatoes
• Magic Mountain cherry tomatoes

Each plant is just $2.

They have not fully rooted yet, but tomato suckers root VERY easily in water or soil. These should take off quickly with a little love.

To help them root successfully at home:
• Keep soil lightly moist (not soggy)
• Give bright shade or gentle morning sun for a few days
• Avoid harsh afternoon heat until rooted
• You can even place the pot in a shallow tray of water briefly if they droop. I always prefer bottom watering my seedlings. They’ll take up what they need and leave the rest!
• Once rooted well, transplant deep — tomatoes grow roots all along the buried stem!

Honestly one of my favorite gardening tricks because one tomato plant can turn into MANY 🍅

First come, first served at the farm stand!

My friend Bethany from The Salmon & The Bee and I are teaming up to bring you the sweetest seasonal gifts this summer!

Starting this weekend, her precious prints will be for sale in the farm stand! As always, there will be fresh eggs, goat soap, goat milk + colloidal oatmeal bath soaks, and a steady assortment of canned goods (finishing salts, herbed butters, and fire cider) and this weekend there will be goat cheese!

Make a point to stop by this weekend and get your goodies!
