Long but necessary post. I'd have made a video, but I don't like being on camera... I'm workin on that though 😅.
So anywho, our in-house delivery has taken a large drop, and not sure why? It has been something we have offered since the start, with the cheapest delivery fee and furthest range until the others adapted our distance as well. Up until 3mo ago, we were pretty consistent, and then bam, a dwindling amount, to the point this post is being made unfortunately. I understand that online ordering has become mainstream and places like doordash, uber, grubhub, and others are all platforms to aquire every form of food delivered to your door. I even onboarded with DD and Uber to help retain some of our lost in house delivery. It has done just a lil, and while that is ok, it has lessened the need for me to retain a back-up, or even part-time driver for "busier" nights thus causing longer wait times for delivery. So in hopes of being able to maintain our original delivery services, from this day forward, all in-house deliveries are free. All I ask from here, is youguys honor the $10min before tax, for delivery. The other thing I am going to monitor is our delivery count, we should easily get 10 deliveries minimum during our work hrs, and thats where I am going to set my low benchmark for now. I do not want this to come across as a sympathy thing, as I'm an open book and don't like to sugarcoat things. This is all part of adapting and troubleshooting when you are a small business with no financial backing like corporate/chain structures, our money can't be spread as far to maintain the proper help. For us little guys, if we slow down or the pace changes, you can only tell people so much, that you don't need them tonight before they are telling you, "I found something with more hrs". While that is a bummer to hear, its also understandable, and hold no grudge, everyone has to make a living. I just wanted to share what was on my mind and going on with one of your longest running small town businesses.
