In our home our pets are family. When they pass on it affects everyone because they are FAMILY. Some people don’t understand the concept of what real family is. Sookie was a very special dog. She was the family protector. She wasn’t Dustins dog. She was the family dog. All of our dogs usually are to us. We are all grieving her loss. So when you say how is Dustin doing and not the rest of the family it is a slap in the face. We are all hurting because in our household our pets are family and although some people don’t understand the concept of family it is no excuse to not acknowledge that the entire family is grieving her loss. Thank you to those of you That did acknowledge it to us. You truly find out who your friends and family are when loss occurs.

Last week was one of the hardest times. Without notice our beloved protector became very ill and her spleen burst. The vet said they couldn’t save her. We had to say goodbye to our bug catcher. It has been hard on us all but she was suffering and is at peace now.
