Sourwood is back at Jaemor Farms! 🍯

We made a fresh delivery today, including cases of our limited seasonal 1 lb Sourwood Honey for everyone who has been searching for it.

Harvested from the Georgia Appalachian foothills, Sourwood is prized for its bright floral sweetness, smooth body, and distinctive lingering finish. The harvest window is short, and availability is limited—so once this batch is gone, it is gone until the next successful season.

We also delivered our Hot Honey — Jalapeño Infused, and it is very different from an ordinary hot honey. We do not simply add pepper flakes or a sharp burst of heat at the end. Our honey is infused with jalapeño so the pepper flavor becomes part of every pour—sweet honey up front, fresh jalapeño character, and a balanced finish that complements food instead of overpowering it.

Try it on biscuits, fried chicken, pizza, roasted vegetables, cheese boards, sandwiches, and more.

A good sign during a queen introduction: the bees are calm around her and showing acceptance behavior instead of aggression.

When a colony accepts a new queen, the workers begin treating her like part of the hive — feeding, grooming, and moving around her without balling or attacking. It is one of the most important moments in getting a hive queenright again.

A new virgin queen 6/20/2026. We used a queen cage to release her into a hive that was without the means to make a queen. Not all queens come back from their mating flights. The circle of life and the life of farming is something else.
