As a homestead, one of our goals is to feed ourselves as much as we can from our own land. And what we canā€™t provide, we usually find local friends or businesses to help supplement. We are so blessed with a neighbor that has mature fruit trees while ours are still growing. I try to get creative so we have variety. One of my favorite things to have in the pantry is Pear Vanilla Jam. It is like a healthy dessert for me. I canā€™t wait to stock the pantry with some again!

She was not only my mother, but my best friend and the absolute best grandma to my babies.
Almost 3 years ago my momma was diagnosed with FTD, Frontal Temporal Dementia. Quite rapidly we lost who she was, but she was still here, still with us, still knew us.
Friday we lost her again. She no longer suffers with FTD, but we no longer have her.
On Friday, August 14, 2026, my mommy, went home to be with the Lord. My heart is heavy with grief, and my mind is empty.
Please have grace with me on getting birds out the door and on posting.

Hello all!
Right now we have some major hardships that require my attention and me to step away from my little sanctuary of my homestead. With this means I need to downsize a few flocks. These wonā€™t be given away, but they will be at a discounted price. This also means their eggs and chicks will not be available come spring. We have wheaten ameraucana hens and a roo, silver ameraucana hens and pullets, and our entire English buff Orpington flock. If any of these interest you, please contact us.
