17 in the cooler getting that temp down for a couple days and then we start parting out and bagging! We bagged the feet for the dogs. Bagged the livers, hearts and gizzards for cooking at a later date. The rest of the trimings went to our pigs and laying hens, nothing went to waste! Chocolate, one of our female Kunekune's, got down on her weight a little so she's been in the yard to be fed separately has been enjoying some treats!

These little bitties! They done slacked off on the production line and some are dining on the hard work! Well instead of letting them out today we kept them in the pen till 4 p.m. hoping to force them to lay in the coup and we went from 20-25 to 10 eggs today! Not sure if they were pi**ed about not getting out so they didn't lay or it gave the ones eating the eggs more of a chance! Ughhhhhh gotta figure this out. May have to cull and start over, gonna be a lot of chicken stock lol🤣🤣🤣

Got bacon in the grow out pen, pork chop on the female side and Chip, our boar, on the male side. Let's see how long it last! May have to fortify the bottom of the grow out as she was looking for a way under but so far so good. Chip is our Houdini so we'll see if we have any weak spots in the fence cause he will find it! Only one left to move is the the castrated male (Hammy), we will get him in the grow out pen this weekend! Looking forward to some fresh home grown meat!
