Every dollar we can keep in the pockets of educators and educator-driven organizations is a dollar that benefits our students and teachers. The average teacher spends $2,500 on coffee per year. If you extrapolate this across the United States, teachers alone spend more than $4
80MM on coffee per year. This $480MM represents resources generated by educators that subsequently leaves the educator pocket with no return to the educator or education. The inability to keep this revenue in education represents both the problem and the opportunity. Our impact comes through the rule of 50%. Currently, every 1 dollar spent on coffee never makes its way back into the education system. However, for every 1 dollar spent on CaffeinatED Coffee 50 cents (or 50%) gets reinvested into education initiatives that either benefit schools or educators. By applying this rule to every coffee product sold, we could reinvest over $200MM back in education.
