This is the house that BBQ built. Once upon a time...my husband opened a BBQ joint. Narrated by a woman married to a man behind the craft of smoking meat.

In December 2011, I became a Barbecue Wife when my husband opened a craft style barbecue joint in Austin, Texas. I was immediately taken with their signature sauce: the intense spices, the subtle smokiness...After experimenting I found that by infusing a little barbecue sauce into my homemade bloody mary mix recipe, it took the flavor from great to holy mama good! Much like the slow, careful craft

of smoking barbecue, this mix is all about attention to detail. I combined a unique blend of hand-smoked spices like sea salt and coarse black pepper (key ingredients in preparing Central Texas Smoked Meat)! There are no short cuts, no "junk" added to this mix. After just one sip, you’ll taste the difference: a bloody mary mix that does not require you to add a thing (well, maybe a rib or two). Drink Well. Do Good. You’re putting a little GOOD in the world. 🎉 If you see me rocking in a corner talking to myself…no need to worry, it’s just May-cember!

In the next 24 hours I have a child finishing up 8th grade with the reality setting in that I have a high school aged kiddo. My youngest is also celebrating a big birthday as she becomes a teenager herself (double gulp), and Im hopping a plane to celebrate my amazing niece graduating from college Magna cm laude! It’s all so joyous whirlwind of the next 24 hours…and Im a blessed lady. However, I wish I could hit pause to take it all in as it’s going to be a blur. Life, it’s worth celebrating…when it’s worth celebrating! 🎉 Happy May-Cember to all who celebrate! You can do it!
