CANNOLI! This delicious Sicilian festival food is made by frying pastry dough and filling it with a cream made out of ricotta, sugar, lemon, orange, and cinnamon!

It was created during Muslim rule of Sicily by concubines hoping to capture the prince's attention! This cross cultural exchange would introduce cinnamon, candied fruits, and pistachios to the island.

It’s always such a delight dealing with children but it can be a real minefield. Are they just shy? Are they special needs? Are the parents deliberately using me to socialize their kids? Are the parents just super passive and I’m an extrovert?
