Hello Dahlia friends. I have a favor to ask, could you remember us in your prayers? On Sept. 24th, my husband had multiple strokes and was placed on a ventilator in the ICU. After several very scary days, he was taken off the ventilator, and he eventually woke up. He’s still here, too weak to move and on a feeding tube. We are making progress, but we have a long way to go. The last two weeks have gutted me. I’d really appreciate your prayers.

This was my last delivery of the week, and I’m breathing a sigh of relief.
The upside to delivering the dahlias is that florists are some of the nicest people on the planet. It’s become a treat to walk in and say hi each week.

When “Normandy Sweet Lucy” arrived in the mail last spring I couldn’t remember why I purchased it. I looked up photos online to see what I bought and became even more confused. The photos were not very pretty. Then it bloomed in the field, wow is it beautiful. I’m not sure if it was an accidental purchase or an intentional one but I’ll definitely be growing more next year.

It’s hard to believe it’s September already!

I bought Felida Splendor on a whim this year. I’m pleasantly surprised with how big and full it is. The bloom is a whimsical 8-10”with feathery laciniated petals. You can’t pass it in the field without stopping to ooh & awe over it. I’m definitely planting more of this one next year!

We upgraded our delivery vehicle this week!!!
I never thought I could be so excited over a white utility van, but here I am. 🎉 The best part is, I won’t have to play bucket Tetris this season.
What do you think? Does it look like I’m about to go on a plumbing or HVAC service call? 😄 I promise I won’t be offering any kids candy from the van.
It’s just flowers all day, all night.

AC Holy Cow blooms are easily some of my favorite dahlia blooms. I giggle every time I walk past because the flowers are absolutely massive. It’s not dinner plate size, it’s a whole turkey platter.

It’s a good night when my husband comes out to the field to run & gather buckets for me. ❤️
