We just replaced our missing laying hens with hens from an organic, soy-free farm. So we once again have fresh eggs available in our Farm Store.

Some of you may have stopped by and noticed we do not have any eggs available. There was a predator getting some of the hens and also they are not laying at full production so we are not getting many eggs each day. We will let you know when we have eggs available again.

Are you interested in planting garlic, but can't find time to stop by the farm store?
We do ship and can fit about 5 lbs in a small box with a shipping cost of around $9.00. (Shipping cost subject to location)

We plant the individual garlic cloves (not the bulbs) 6 inches apart in the row. Last year we tried planting a set of 3 rows 6 inches apart and then duplicating that a few times. It worked well in that we could fit a larger amount of garlic in a smaller area. So that has become our standard way of planting. We planted some last week and hope to finish in the next few days. Beginning this week, our Hardneck Music Garlic is available for sale. In our farm store, we have the garlic bulbs sorted by size. If you are interested in purchasing in bulk, please contact us to order. We may need a day or two to get it ready for you.

We were busy picking blueberries first thing this morning. The store is stocked with pint containers. Freshly cut baby lettuce from our garden is available. Great for salads! Meadow Tea leaves are also available for you to make a cool summer drink.

If you love garlic, then you’ve got to try garlic scapes. Garlic scapes are the long green shoots that grow from the garlic bulb, and they are an amazing way to add garlicky flavor to your favorite dishes. They’re a bit milder than garlic cloves, which make them the perfect base for pestos, an addition to quiches, or even eaten straight up sauteed with a little salt.
Garlic scapes can be eaten raw or cooked up and added to a variety of dishes. Wash the garlic scapes, and trim the end and the bud.

So we decided to give some away!

Super Tonic! It’s hot but it works!
We’ve found it works the best when used as soon as you feel a slight sore throat coming on. We’ve already used it every 15 minutes to get on top of a cold. It doesn’t seem to work as well if you’ve waited until you have a full blown cold, but it will shorten it.
Ingredients: Onions, Horseradish, Garlic, Habanera Pepper, Ginger and Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
Shake very well. The “best” stuff settles to the bottom.
Dilute in a small amount of water.
Let us know if you're brave enough to try it! 🙂

Good Morning! Because of the shorter days and less sunlight our chickens have gone into a natural molt and are laying less eggs each day. As the days get longer we anticipate that the egg production will increase. As a result we will have a limited amount of eggs to sell this week.

We are sold out of Garlic and Elderberries for this season. Check back with us August 2022.
Chicken, Beef, Honey and Eggs are available Monday-Saturday. Honey and Eggs are self-serve, but Chicken and Beef are not. Message us to order or talk to us when you stop by.
Update on accepted payment methods: We accept cash, check and Venmo (new). When you fill out the clipboard at our stand with what you purchased and the total, notate "V" for Venmo payments.

With the cooler weather coming, it's sure to feel like fall soon! It will be just a few more weeks until the farmstand will retire for the season.
Saturday, October 16, we plan to have an ice chest at the farmstand with frozen chicken. So stop by if you're looking for a great idea for supper on the grill!
After adding a few supplements to our chickens soy free feed, the eggs started coming in faster! In other words, quite a bit less breakage. So we have a lot of eggs to sell! We can't wait until you try them.😋
