Field to Farmstand: Meet the Lavender Lineup!
Not all lavender is the same 💜
At Elkhorn Peak Lavender, we grow several unique lavender varieties, each chosen for its beauty, fragrance, hardiness, culinary use, or pollinator power in Eastern Oregon’s climate.
✨ Meet a few favorites:
Hidcote ~ deep purple blooms + classic English lavender scent
Munstead ~ extra cold-hardy and perfect for mountain climates
Grosso ~ the superstar of lavender oil production
Provence ~ tall fragrant stems straight out of the French countryside
Phenomenal ~ lives up to its name with incredible weather tolerance, long flowering season, and large purple blooms
Edelweiss ~ rare white-flowering lavender with soft, glowing blooms
Imperial Gem ~ compact and colorful for borders and containers
🪻 Fun fact:
English lavenders are usually sweeter and more culinary-friendly, while lavandin hybrids produce larger plants and stronger fragrance for bouquets and oils.
Phenomenal and Edelweiss are our first loves but the other varieties are definitely “growing on us”. Which variety would you plant in your garden? 👇
